Located in the beautiful Chess Valley near Chesham in Buckinghamshire the Estate, nicknamed the Spy House due to its connection to World War 2, has recently revealed its £7 million refurbishment.
The renovation focused mainly on the mansion house restoring many of the original features that were present when the mansion was built in 1838. At the heart of the mansion house is the original sweeping staircase with feature stained glass windows that now leads to 31 brand new guests rooms that were previously meeting rooms and hotel offices. These additional deluxe guest bedrooms have increased the hotels overall capacity to 205 rooms.
In addition to the new guest rooms Latimer Estate has opened a brand new restaurant and bar open to both guests and the public to enjoy. The focus in the restaurant is on locally sourced produce creating a range of British dishes.
The De Vere Latimer Estate is a fantastic venue for those booking a wedding. There are now four refurbished spaces ideal for weddings of varying sizes, with original features to suit parties from 30 to 200 guests. The largest of the suites is the Cavendish and offers state of the art facilities and bi-folding doors to the terrace that has breath taking views of the countryside.
